Intro: E A E A

Verse:
E
I’ll paint you a picture with words, “I miss her.”
A
We still talk like everyday
                                       E
But we don’t talk in the same way that we used to
                                             A
I’ll move on and forget you, we could never see eye to eye

But either way.

Chorus:
A Db B A
I like her ‘cause she’s smart, headstrong and independent,
                  Db B A
She puts me in my place, but I don’t know where I stand,
                    Db E B A
And if only I could find the words, or muster up the nerve to tell her
                          B A
I’ll never forget her and she’ll always have a part of me.

Verse:
E A
Don’t let me go down this road again
                              E
We both know where this ends
                                         A
In a storm of feeling, I’m so unappealing

I can’t play these games

Chorus:
A Db B A
I like her ‘cause she’s smart, headstrong and independent,
                  Db B A
She puts me in my place, but I don’t know where I stand,
                    Db E B A
And if only I could find the words, or muster up the nerve to tell her
                          B A
I’ll never forget her and she’ll always have a part of me.
                         Db B A
I like her ‘cause she’s smart, headstrong and independent,
                  Db B A
She puts me in my place, but I don’t know where I stand,
                    Db E B A
And if only I could find the words, or muster up the nerve to tell her
                          B A
I’ll never forget her and she’ll always have a part of me.
Db B A
She'll always have a part of me.
Db B A
She'll always have a part of me.

Interlude:
    Db E B A
    B A

Outro:
       Db B
I was falling for a girl who would ask me to come over
     A
Just for a day, when her parents were away,
    Db B
Now all I can do is lay in my room,
        A
Fall asleep, dream of you,

Then wake up and do nothing about it
   Db B A
I fell for a boy who could never ever let me walk home that way,

‘Cause you gotta be safe,
     Db B
So hold back your views, we’re both leaving soon,
        A
I can’t fall back on you,

‘Cause that’s not what I do.
    Db B
She hates it when I shout these word but I’ll still sing for you,
A
I’ll still sing for you, I’ll still sing for you.
    Db B
She hates it when I shout these word but I’ll still sing for you,
A
I’ll still sing for you, I’ll still sing for you.
    Db B
She hates it when I shout these word but I’ll still sing for you,
A
I’ll still sing for you, I’ll still sing for you.
    Db B
She hates it when I shout these word but I’ll still sing for you,
A
I’ll still sing for you, I’ll still sing for you.

  2. strumming pattern???

  3. Mr Le Babe

    – 2 Transposed version
Play Bm instead of B it sounds better.

  4. If you’re struggling with the e fret try this version of it instead. Bar the entire 4 strings on the 2nd fret (a d chord) with your index finger and bar the first 3 strings of the 4th fret with your ring finger at the same time (leaving the a string open) sounds exactly the same and much much easier to play

  5. Love neck deep, love this song but was really really hoping to find December here, anyone know the chords, strumming pattern etc? You’d be my hero ?

  6. i love neck deep and as it is

play c#5 instead of db, it sounds better :)

  7. Hey, I believe you can change the chord that falls on the “smart”, “place” etc with the chord that comes on the “don’t let me goooo” because this chord (for me on -4 it’s A) sounds out of tune so yeah. You can change it for C if you’re on the -4

  8. i personally like it transposed to -4

  9. Princess Consuela Banana Hammock
