How to read tablature? 
The whole song is the four-note bell riff. Learn it until your fingers play it without you.

The progression:
1. The riff, alone, once — quiet, far-off bells.
2. The riff twice more, the bass walking down:
   Am  G   F   E7      Dm
   A — G — F — E
   repeat
3. The riff as full chords — strum the same rhythm, let it swell.
4. The solo, then the run: climb up, spill down.
5. The riff twice more, fading, then the ending.

Shchedryk (the first lines of the Ukrainian original):

Shchedryk, shchedryk, shchedrivochka,
pryletila lastivochka —
a little swallow flew into the house,
