4 ukulele chords used in "One Day" by Matisyahu: Am, C, F and G

Hi everyone! I made my own strumming pattern. I hope I can help a bit and explain this clearly lol
The strumming pattern:
• Intro = 1 down strum for each chord
• Verses and pre-chorus = do an island strum (down-down-up-up-down-up/DDUUDU)
• Chorus = I do 3 different strum patterns here, but it’s really easy:
C G Am F
One day, one day, one day, oh oh oh
► On the C and G = down-down down-up-down-up / DD DUDU
■ So if you put it in the lyrics: down on One, down on Day(you could actually use up, but I prefer down), then down-up-down-up
D D DUDU
One Day
► On the AM = island strum = down-down-up-up-down-up / DDUUDU because the Day is sung as “Da-a-a-ay”
■ Lyrics: down on One, down on Da-, up up on -a-a-, down-up on -ay
D D U U DU
One Da-a-a-ay
► On the F = down down down down down down/DDDDDD basically you strum down really fast until the Oh oh oh ends
And then island strum again for the Verse and Pre-chorus and the Wye oh Wye oh oh oh
Easy song! I hope I helped.
Man oh man, I LOVE this song!! The first time I heard it, I was in my dad’s car, and he was playing it on his CD player. I was like, “What’s that song?” and he’s like, “Oh, it’s called One Day, I really like it,” and now look! I’m Matisyahu’s 1# fan!!! XD
Thank you ukutabs!
Very applicable stram for CHORUS
“DDUDUD” for – C, G, and Am, while “DDDD” – F
Thanks so much!
Strumming Pattern??
Thanks, ukutabs! You really helped me on my ukulele playing because One Day is my favourite song so I would certainly LOVE to play it on my uke. The fact that it’s only 4 chords is amazing! Thanks again!

Great song! I think it might be too high, though… -5 is most convenient for a baritone voice and soprano ukulele.
It is so good oh yeh
great cords there perfect
can you guys do somewhere over the rainbow
the best song ever!!! learned it in 10 mins! I am happy to help anyone who needs it!!!
DDUUDU is a basic strum and is called island strum (I always use that strum) I feel it gets more complicated when you say DDUUDU for such a basic strum, the more you know!
The strum was really difficult to find, but I find it easiest to do a simple DDUUD strum. (I know some people might get confused with what D and U is in the pattern,so D = down and U = up). I like this particular reggae/pop song because it is really inspiring and my older sister used to sing it to me before she moved away. I want to play this song for her birthday!
omfg what is the strums?
The chords are perfectly easy since I don’t have a cable plus the chords very from easy to hard because I am a beginner!
Perfect!:)
Do you show this on youtube?
