Intro: G - Cm - Fm - G

Verse 1:
G Cm
I was so high I didn't recognize
          Fm G
the fire burning in her eyes, the chaos that controlled my mind....
G Cm
Whispered goodbye and she got on a plane
          Fm G
Never to return again but always in my heart

Chorus:
Cm Fm Bb7 Eb
This love has taken its toll on me
Cm Fm Bb Eb
She said goodbye too many times before
Cm Fm Bb Eb
Her heart is breaking in front of me
Cm Fm Bb Eb G - Cm - Fm - G
I have no choice, I won't say goodbye anymore

Verse 2:
I tried my best to feed her appetite
Keep her coming every night
So hard to keep her satisfied
Kept playing love like it was just a game
Pretending to feel the same
Then turn around and leave again

Chorus:
Cm Fm Bb7 Eb
This love has taken its toll on me
Cm Fm Bb Eb
She said goodbye too many times before
Cm Fm Bb Eb
Her heart is breaking in front of me
Cm Fm Bb Eb G - Cm - Fm - G
I have no choice, I won't say goodbye anymore

Bridge:
 Fm
I'll fix these broken things
  Eb
Repair your broken wings
G7 Cm
And make sure everything's alright
Fm
My pressure on your hips
Eb
Sinking my fingertips
G
Into every inch of you
Cause I know that's what you want me to do

  1. I like to replace Fm with a regular F. There isn’t too big of a difference and doesn’t sound that bad.

  2. sinclair child

for +2 (the version I like playing best), G works in place of Gm. Doesn’t sound quite as good, but still works & is easy for newer ukulele players.

  3. makennaautrey

    +2

  4. Jay McLuna

sounds super edgy when you replace all the g’s with g7’s

  5. AudreyNgo2309

G7 sounds better than the first note G at the beginning of the sentence, IMO

  6. I agree with Aria_96 about the two choruses at the end. otherwise wonderfultastic song!

  7. Aria_96 if you want practise on quick changing of chords play bohemian rhapsody If you don’t think you can play those chords take it down 3 steps and put a capo on the third fret or or just leave the capo ( this is for bohemian rhapsody)

  8. E7 works in place of the E, when you transpose it to -3.

  9. Transpose -3 is much easier xx

  10. Great chords although it is a bit hard to change that quickly in the chorus and also, at the end they sing the corus twice again
