E:____0_0
A:____0_0
For the people who are confused. I believe there are two versions of this song. These chords are for the 2017 version found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLMysD77fcU
This version is the uke version that Liana Flores posted to her channel. Pretty easy to play just in 3/4. 1st beat you play the base note (2nd string from the top) and for beats 2 & 3 you play the other three notes.
The other version is the much more viewed version that more people are probably familiar with. I think it sounds like it’s played with a guitar. Good luck out there
For anyone looking for the most accurate way to play this song -you should search for a tutorial for this song on ukulele in YouTube and there’s this girl that shows a very accurate way of playing it (it’s the first video that poos up)
-2
poggies they added it
actually picking the strings makes my hand cramp (╥_╥)
i use C6, Bm7
C6, C7
F, F
Cmaj7
hope it helps 🙂
Does anyone know the strumming pattern? 🙂
Transpose to -2, then change the Ddim chord to a D7 chord. Sounds close enough to the original.
Also for the strumming pattern I use: pluck the third string (from the right) then pluck all the other strings, repeat that twice per chord. So basically 3 124 3 124 (next chord) 3 124 3 124 etc etc.
hope that helps!!
nobody asked but this is how I play it (might not make sense but goes along with my voice)
C B7
days seem sometimes as if they’ll never end
C C7
sun digs its heels to taunt you
F Edim
but after sunlight day, one thing stays the same
C Cmaj7
rises the moon
and like that for all verses! 🙂 (B7 is 2322 and Edim is 0401)
-2 is not only easy but it sounds right-
for strumming you pluck the second string once, then the other three twice
besties just tune ur uke down by a half step :))
If you transpose it to -2 and put your capo on the first fret it’s the og version
For those confused on the strumming pattern, I follow down up up, down up up (think of it like a waltz!) and I strum the second string on down and (here you can choose) either the first string or the first three strings on up- whichever sounds better for you!
This song is so pretty if you don’t strum but pluck with your fingers. Pluck the C string, then play the E and A strings together twice. Makes a more echoey, comforting sound.
+1 sounds better x
-2, in the bridge switch out the first 2 C6 for C
for you all who are wondering the maruwhat chords, -1 ^^
