11 ukulele chords used in "Passing Papers" by Egg mylifeisayolk: A, A7, B, Bm, Db, Db7, D, Dm, E, E7 and Gbm

I use DDUUDU (the island strum) for most of the chords.
The first two chords in every verse (including the intro and outro) are A and E; I use DDUUDU x2
At the end of every verse (including the intro and outro), all those chords besides the first two As and Es (Db7, Gbm, Bm, E) are DDUUDU
Db in the chorus is DDUUDU
Db7 and A in the chorus is DDU (with that pattern it goes from Db7 to A really quickly).
A7 and Db7 in the chorus is DDUUDU x2
Gbm in the chorus is DDUUDU
the A and A7 after the Gbm in the chorus is DDU (quickly again)
Db7 and Gbm at “It’s almost entertaining how / we’re searching for the same thing” are DDUUDU
Bm, (B), and E in the chorus are DDUUDU
All the chords in the bridge are DDUUDU x2 besides A at “I thought I was alright”
A at “I thought I was alright” is DDUUDU
I like to skip the E7 in the bridge because imo it’s hard to switch to and I feel like it’s unnecessary.
I know this is a lot to read but All the chords are essentially DDUUDU either normally, doubled, or cut in half.
Hope this helps! 😀
+3 is the easiest for me!! This is such a good song 🙂
I use +3 with a cappo on the first fret
PLEASE TRANSPOSE TO +3!
It just sounds better. 🙂
I use a D DUDUDU strumming pattern
strumming pattern is D DU UDU D DU UDU for nearly every chord. I usually just feel out the rest, but this is mostly for the verses, although it’s the same strumming pattern for the chorus, you just split the pattern a bit for chord switches.
Strumming pattern?
Does anybody know the strumming pattern? I can’t figure it out
