Intro: A

Verse:
      D G Am
Come along with me
     D A G
To a town beside the sea
       Am G
We can wander through the forest
    D A
And do so as we please

Verse:
     D G Am
Come along with me
     D A G
To a cliff under a tree
            Am G
Where we'll gaze upon the water
      G A D
As an everlasting dream

Chorus:
Gb7 G
All of my affections
            A D
I give them all to you
Gb7 G
Maybe by next summer
   D A
We won't have changed our tunes

Verse:
        D G Am
I still want to be
        D A G
In this town beside the sea
D G
Making up new numbers
    G A D
And living so merrily

Chorus:
Gb7 G
All of my affections
            A D
I give them all to you
     Gb7 G
I'll be here for you always
    E7 A
And always be for you

Verse:
      D G Am
Come along with me
     D A G
To a town beside the sea
       D G
We can wander through the forest
    D A Am
And do so as we please
G A D
Living so merrily

  1. empty inside

go to +3 and instead of cm dm it sounds way better just saying

  2. DDU DDU DDU UDU

  3. I think this is a good strumming pattern: DUUDUU

  4. Instead of Am, it’s Bm and the strumming pattern is just d-u-d-u.

  5. also convert the E7 in the second chorus to D
all of this in my personal opinion makes the song easier and run more smoothly

  6. also try using E7 instead of Gb7

  7. try using C instead of Am

  8. What is a good replacement for d I’m horrible at bar chords

  9. try Bm instead of Am, it seems to flow better when you play.

  10. Try A instead of Am!

    [—|—|—|
    [-0-|—|—|
    [—|-0-|—|

  11. Flabulous Narwhal

    It’s Bm rather than Am

  12. emiliexprince

Am sounds way better as Bm in the verse!!!

  13. If you transpose it down 2 half steps, and instead of using Gm use Am, it’s a whole lot easier to play and sing!! :)

  14. I second the substitution of the Am with Bm

  15. Fluffy Master

I replaced the Am with Em or Em7 as I don’t like play Bm

  16. try D instead of Am

  17. Hay,I new at playing the ukulele just want to no if this song is easy to play

    • It’s pretty easy to play the first two verses, but the chorus gets a little tougher! I’m quite new to playing and starting out with this and ‘Everything Stays’ are good picks to challenge yourself.

  18. Ukulelefish

I must admit although I love this website, the chords for this song could be a lot better!!

  19. *Gbm

  20. I think the Am in the verses should be Bm, and Gb7 should just be Gb. I think it sounds better that way :p
