Intro -x2-:
E Abm Dbm A
Hey Hey Hey Hey

Verse:
       E Abm
Simmer down, simmer down
               Dbm A
They say we're too young now to amount to anything else
E Abm
  But look around
        Dbm A
We work too damn hard for this just to give it up now
E Abm Dbm
If you don't swim you'll drown
           A
But don't move, honey

Chorus:
     E Abm
You look so perfect standing there
       Dbm A
in my American apparel underwear
    E Abm Dbm A
And I know now that I'm so down
      E Abm
Your lipstick stain is a work of art
              Dbm A
I've got your name tattooed in an arrow heart
    E Abm Dbm A
And I know now that I'm so down

Hey
E Abm Dbm A
Hey Hey Hey Hey

Verse:
          E Abm
Let's get out, let's get out
           Dbm A
cause this deadbeat town only here to keep us down
E Abm
  While I was out,
          Dbm A
I felt myself alone just thinking about
                      Abm
if I showed up with a plane ticket
       Dbm A
and a shiny diamond ring with your name on it
      E Abm
Would you wanna run away too?
      Dbm A
Cause all I really want is you

Chorus:
     E Abm
You look so perfect standing there
       Dbm A
in my American apparel underwear
    E Abm Dbm A
And I know now that I'm so down
         E Abm
I made a mix tape straight out of ninety four'
               Dbm A
I've got your ripped skinny jeans lying on the floor
    E Abm Dbm A
And I know now that I'm so down

Hey
E Abm Dbm A

  1. +1

  2. If you add a d chord after the last g it just kinda pulls the whole song together i thinl

  3. how do you know the strumming patern? and what is it? :)

  4. Ravenclawandpoud

-4 is very simple and sounds very nice

  5. Up down chuck ??????

  6. +3 is pretty lit

  7. +3 is also nice!

  8. nicthesinner

if you have deeper voice, -4 sounds awesome

  9. UkuleleSwiftie7

It’s easier transposed up +1 and that’s also easier for higher voices to sing along to

  10. Vince guierrez

    AWESOME!!!!

  11. The Abm chord, shown here as |4342|, can also be played as |1342|, which is an easier transition from the E chord |1402| than the |4342| chord. Master the E chord first, though.

Also the Dbm chord is easier to play if you bar your pinky finger across the last three strings.

  12. instead of these chords you can play a g, then put your finger down on the 2nd fret, e minor, and c. it’s higher but it’s also easier and better for me to sing

  13. It sounds good when you put a capo on the fourth fret and play the song using C, Em, Am, F in that order

  14. km_clifford

If you don’t wanna use Abm you can use Gbm it sounds equally good
