Intro -x2-: Bm A D

Verse 1:
Bm A D
I'm not a stranger to the dark
       G Bm
Hide away, they say
                  A
'Cause we don't want your broken parts
      Bm A D
I've learned to be ashamed of all my scars
 G Bm
Run away, they say
            A
No one will love you as you are

Pre-Chorus:
   G A Bm
But I won't let them break me down to dust
                         A D
I know that there's a place for us
              A
For we are glorious

Chorus:
          D
When the sharpest words wanna cut me down
           Bm
I'm gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out

I am brave, I am bruised
      A
I am who I'm meant to be, this is me
D
Look out 'cause here I come
        Bm
And I'm marching on to the beat I drum
        G
I'm not scared to be seen
       A
I make no apologies, this is me

Post-Chorus:
 D
Oh-oh-oh-oh -Oh-oh-oh-oh-
 Bm
Oh-oh-oh-oh -Oh-oh-oh-oh-
G A
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh

Verse 2:
Bm A D
Another round of bullets hits my skin
       G Bm A
Well, fire away 'cause today, I won't let the shame sink in
      Bm A D
We are bursting through the barricades
 G Bm
And reaching for the sun -we are warriors-
            A
Yeah, that's what we'll become

Pre-Chorus:
G A Bm

I am who I'm meant to be, this is me
D
Look out 'cause here I come
        Bm
And I'm marching on to the beat I drum
        G
I'm not scared to be seen

I love this song! It’s one of my favorite songs from The Greatest Showmen! LOVE this song!

Ellie

When ending the song. I like to use a D chord. Use if you like!

Ella

Is there a cheet for bm?

beatrice

I don’t really think so, but you should transpose it to -2. It’s a lot easier and only includes the Am, C, F, G chords.

😀😀😀😀

I did this to settle the warriors and glorious thing. I looked it up and it is glorious both times.

😀😀😀😀

Sorry guys same person I double checked it and it really was glorious then warriors.

DJbroomer

its fine :)

Stormi

i think -2 is really easy

hazy

So, the original song is in the D key. Just tune 1 step up from the C key, then play -2, and it sounds exactly like the original song.

moira

this doesn’t sound like the original AT ALL

Deanna S

This doesn’t even sound like the real chords… anyone agree?

portiss

I agree with you so much. Like, I know they are real chords but they don’t sound right at all

Lol

I’ve got the vocals and accompaniment book and there are a bunch of dominant 7ths and diminished 7th so it’s probably why

LostInHisEyes

Yeah and I kinda think there should be a few more chords in certain places

wherearetheavocados6

if you want it to sound like the original key, put a capo on the 2nd fret and transpose to -2. it’s easier chords but sounds exactly the same.
