Intro - x2 -: C G Am F G C

Verse:
C G Am F G C
I set out on a narrow way many years ago
C G Am F G C
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
    Am G
But I got lost a time or two
    F C
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
C G Am F G C
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you

Chorus:
       F C G C
Every long lost dream lead me to where you are
            F C F G
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
             F C G Am
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
            F C
This much I know is true...
     C G Am
That God blessed the broken road
      F G C
That led me straight to you

Interlude: C G Am F G C

Verse:
  C G Am F G C
I think about the years I spent just passing through
     C G Am F G C
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
     Am G
But you just smile and take my hand
F C
You've been there you understand
C G Am F G C
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true

Chorus:
       F C G C
Every long lost dream lead me to where you are
            F C F G
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
             F C G Am
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
            F C
This much I know is true...
     C G Am
That God blessed the broken road
      F G C
That led me straight to you

Solo: F C G C, F C G C

Chorus:
                  F C G C
And now I'm just rolling home into my lover's arms
             F C
This much I know is true...
      C G Am F G C F G C
That God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you
      C G Am F G C
That God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you

For this Song, I would suggest picking instead of strumming , I think it sounds sounds much better. It really suits the song

    • Rileyinthecrowd

How would you pick it? Just wondering because I am not good at picking without a pattern.

Hey everyone it literally SAYS at the bottom of the page-

Do not ask for strumming patterns. Sharing online how to literally play a song (i.e. strumming, rhythm and tempo) is not allowed by the MPA (Music Publishers Association) because of copyright issues.

Carefully listen to the song and “feel” the rhythm. Once you get the basics of strumming, it’ll go real quick. Maybe the strumming guide can help you.

  4. I usually just go for it and strum whatever sounds good with the tune of the song, usually something like D D U U D U

  5. I listened to a video and I think the strum pattern is D D U U d u D d u D d u and it kinda repeats in a way

  6. Why cant we have the strum pattern?

    • Rileyinthecrowd

Because of a copyright reason. People are giving sp’s and that in the end could actually shut the site down so they need to stop.

  7. Can you please give us a strum pattern??? I looked it up and it said we shouldn’t ask for the patterns but I looked it up on the internet and I couldn’t find it.

I need the pattern so I can perform with the ukulele group in 2 weeks and I really need it because it is for a grade and I have to be there. Please think about it within at least 1 week?

    Thank You. Please consider it.

  8. Whoops nvm I just seen it said don’t ask for patterns sorry
