Intro: G

       G
When life leaves you high and dry

I'll be at your door tonight

Your hope dangling by a string

 I'll share in your suffering

  1. When I play these chords, like the two long ones, it doesn’t sound right for me. Any recommendations

  2. Music_Mayhem

    beautiful

    • JUSTREPLYINGTOBEONTOP

I don’t know what’s up but for y’all recommending changes to make it easier: it’s not even hard in the first place, plus, even if you do somehow find it hard at least you get to learn new stuff.

  3. Instead of Cadd9, I did C. For now, I’m using D instead of Dsus4. idk what to do intstead of E7 bc it sounds weird. That just might be my uke tho.

    • Music Mayhem

Keep playing G instead of E7. It sounds the same

      • I use Em instead of E7, but modify it as needed, by the end I ended up using C, D, Dsus4, G those were just what was easiest for me.

  4. MyChemicalRomanceFan

I play it transposed to 0, it sounds really good. Just switch the Cadd9 with C to make it easier.

  5. MyChemicalRomanceFan

+5 is the easiest one I could find

  6. Rachel Trépanier

The lyric” You’re the POKES that I’ve always needed”
Is incorrect instead of “pokes” it should be “pulse”

  7. what’s a good strum pattern?

  8. LaV_enrose

** you can do -1, put on the capo on the first fret, and only do the fingerings for every note on all the other frets aside from the first one. this makes it way easier to play the chords ;)

  9. LaV_enrose

-1 without a capo sounds more accurate, a bit more difficult though
-2 without a capo is good and a bit easier from -1 too, but not so accurate :)

  10. Benjamin_Simmons

    This is great on -3

  11. lilybuglew

c is easier than Cadd9 as well

  12. I think the Cm is easier to play than Cadd9. It sounds the same as Cadd9

  13. awesomelizard

Cadd9 is better played by holding the 2nd fret on the c string and the 3rd fret on the a string. The way this thing says it is just C Major.

  14. this rocks!i needed a folkish song to play for you fair and i legit learned this while i was playing it for the fair and there was no false notes!! thanks so much !! :)

  15. ukulelechic

    +5 steps sounds really nice

  16. When it says i surrender honestly and give me a reason to believe i just do one strum for each chord
