5 ukulele chords used in "Me And Julio Down By The Schoolyard" by Paul Simon: A, B7, D, E and G

I usually use E7 for this song because it’s a lot easier than this E for these chords, without much difference in sound.
Take it down -2 to avoid the E… Love yourself
a MUCHHHHH easier sub for E is 4442
E is way easier if you use your thumb on the G string, pointer on A string on 2nd fret, and middle on C string on 4th fret
The lick at the start and interlude: take the regular A chord with pink on 4th fret of E snare, D chord with pink on 5th, A with 4th, E7. Takes some practice though, but its the cherry on the pie.
This song goes by so fast you can leave out the hard chord changes. Try leaving out the B7’s and the G when singing Queen and the Julio’s. Sounds perfectly fine and sooo much easier! Also, +3 is the super duper easy chords.

Hi – For years I thought the chorus went… seeing me and Julio down by the school yard. But, when I went to learn this on the Uke, I discovered the lyric is actually; “See you, me and Julio down by the school yard.” I researched it well and that’s the correct lyric. Peace.
