D
Katy don't cry I know
       A Bm
You're trying your hardest
                 G
And the hardest part is letting
D
Go of the nights we shared
 A Bm A
Ocala is calling and you know it's haunting
        G A Bm D
But compared to your eyes nothing shines quite as bright
            G A Bm D
And when we look to the sky it's not mine but I want it so

Chorus:
D
Let's not pretend like you're alone tonight
   A Bm
-I know he's there-
                                 A
You're probably hanging out and making eyes
                                  G
-While across the room he stares-
                            A
I bet he gets the nerve to walk the floor
                   Bm A
And ask my girl to dance, and she'll say yes

              G Bm G Bm A
Because these words were never easier for me to say
                   Bm
Or her to second guess
     A
But I guess
     G A
That I can live without you but
    G A D
Without you I'll be miserable at best

                            A
You're all that I hoped I'd find
                Bm
In every single way
                       A
And everything I could give
                            D
Is everything you couldn't take
                          A Bm
Cause nothing feels like home you're a thousand miles away
                          A
And the hardest part of living
                               G
Is just taking breaths to stay
                                A
Because I know I'm good for something
                         Bm
I just haven't found it yet
        A D
But I need it, so

Chorus:
D
Let's not pretend like you're alone tonight
   A Bm
-I know he's there-
                                 A
You're probably hanging out and making eyes
                                  G
-While across the room he stares-
                            A
I bet he gets the nerve to walk the floor
                   Bm A
And ask my girl to dance, and she'll say yes

              G Bm G Bm A
Because these words were never easier for me to say
                   Bm
Or her to second guess
     A
But I guess
     G A
That I can live without you but
    G A D
Without you I'll be miserable at best

Interlude:
D, A, Bm, G
D A Bm A D
-Ladada ladada ladada oh ohhh-

                                       A
And this will be the first time in a week

That I'll talk to you
                Bm
And I can't speak
                                              A
It's been three whole days since I've had sleep
                                         D
Because I dream of his lips on your cheek

And I got the point that I should leave you alone
      A
But we both know that I'm not that strong
   Bm A
And I miss the lips that made me fly

  D
So let's not pretend like you're alone tonight
   A Bm
-I know he's there-
                                 A
You're probably hanging out and making eyes
                                   G
-while across the room, he stares-
                            A
I bet he gets the nerve to walk the floor
                   Bm A
And ask my girl to dance, and she'll say yes

              G Bm G Bm A
Because these words were never easier for me to say
                   Bm
Or her to second guess
     A
But I guess
     G A
That I can live without you but
     Bm A
Without you I'll be miserable
    G A
And I can live without you
         Bm A
But without you I'll be miserable
    G A
And I can live without you
         Bm A D
Oh, without you I'll be miserable at best

    Honestly**

I suggest using Em instead of Bm. It’s easier & homestly sounds the same :,))

  3. makemorethefrontbottomstabs

    -2 !!

  4. if your transposed to -2 a good way to end at the ending is playing C,G,Am! It gives it the sad effect this song’s meaning gives off

  5. Just a tip- taking it down 2 is great rather than having to play the Bm!

  6. @Mary I just bar the second fret. It sounds the same, and it’s a bit easier to play.

I think at B minor is a really hard note to play in this song. Do y’all have any suggestions to use a different chord that still sounds good with the song?
