D
She's got a smile that it seems to me
Cadd9
Reminds me of childhood memories
       G D
Where everything was as fresh as a bright blue sky
D
Now and then when i see her face
    Cadd9
She takes me away to that special place
           G D
And if i stay too long I'd probably break down and cry

A C D
Oooooh Sweet Child of Mine
A C D
Oooooh Sweet Love of Mine

D
She's got eyes of the bluest sky
Cadd9
And if they thought of rain
G D
I'd hate to look into those eyes and see an ounce of pain
D
Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place
      Cadd9
Where as a child i'd hide
     G D
And prey for the thunder and the rain to quietly pass me by

A C D
Oooooh Sweet Child of Mine
A C D
Oooooh Sweet Love of Mine

Playing Am instead of Cadd9 is easier and sounds similar!

  2. -2 for a key that matches with the tabbed riff

  3. Adrian Rozario

(in tune with the actual song)
*put a capo on the first fret*

    etc.

  4. Try to watch the ukulele teacher’s tutorial of this on YouTube, it’s way easier. He used the chords C-Bb-F-C for the verses and G-Bb-C for the chorus. Also, the strumming pattern he used was DDUUD 2x for each chord (for the verse) but for the chorus the chord C will only be the one repeated twice.

Hey guys! Instead of using Cadd9, you could use EM. They sound very similar, (not the same!), but similar. Hope this helps you! :)

  6. D D U D is what I used @Karma is key

  7. Karma is key

    Strumming pattern?

  8. Could you please add the chords for the rest of the song: where do we go……

  9. tristan_the_me

    A 5 0 10 0 10 0
    E
    C 2
    G 0

  10. Idk how to read the riff. I need notes, not lines and numbers.

    • The letters on the side correspond to what string to play the notes on, the number is what fret to play, follow it from left to right in order, so for the first bit: open C string, 8th fret E string, open G string, 5th fret C string, 8th fret A string, open G string, 7th fret A string, open G string
      :) hope that helps

  11. If you want to play the song in the default chords, I think I may have figured out the beginning of an appropriate riff. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

    xA|—-0——10—9—-|
    xE|———2———|
    xC|–2———9—–9-|
    xG|——0————-|

  12. Fairly new to this what putting it -2 mean?

  13. Basketball...24/7

The ukulele teacher on youtube has it all down and its 10 times better than this…

  14. Sweetchild fan

Do you put the kapo in -2 or just playin like this ?

    thanks ;)

    • Adrian Rozario

Instead of the above, you put a capo on the first fret then….

      (first line = c),(second = b),(third line = f),(fourth line = c)

      chorus = b,f,c

  15. If you want it to sound like exactly the same you have to transpose it down -2 and put a capo on the first fret

  16. playing G F C instead of G Bb C in -2 sounds better to me.

  17. thanks @Samuel the song transposed to -2 sounds even better <3

  18. Beautiful, thank you very much. I only started playing a month ago and I sound amazing already with this!

  19. Just for anyone wondering, the riff is not in the same key as the chords. To fix this transpose it to -2 :)
