5 ukulele chords used in "Breezeblocks" by Alt-J (∆): A, Am, Bb, Dm and F

Helpful tips for making this song sound 10x better:
1: Try to use a capo on the second fret and try to sing higher.
2: In the chorus, instead of a Bb, sure a G in it’s place.
3: At the “ah ah,” instead of using two F’s use Dm, F.
This was the first song I learned to play on ukulele, followed by twenty one pilot’s House of Gold. Both of these songs are on a beginner level. Hope my tips help you!
this is really helpful for me as a total noob and big alt-j fan

I used just a single stroke for the first verse, the first bridge (except for the the “my lovely” part) and for the the last verse. For the rest of it I used an dududu pattern. And on the “la la la la” I do dddd while still holding the Dm.
I’m such a noob at ukulele playing can someone please explain how to follow these directions? I’m so confused omg does anyone know the strum pattern or SOMETHING … lol I need to learn how to read music
whats the strum pattern?
-3 sound pretty 🙂
I like -2 better 🙂
i though it was “i need you home” not “ill eat you whole” lmao
This is so awesome. Thanks so much for posting this. I really appreciate that you also include info about the band as well. Thank you.
On the first 2 verses I only strummed one time on each change and after the second and fourth lines I strummed four times dm for first 2 and then f for second two and then for the chorus I used the strumming pattern DDU
I use DUUD for verses and DDU UDU for chorus
For the chorus I think it’s really fun to strum each chord as a 123 123 12 style but in double-time (all down strokes). It’s a little difficult to get the transition between the first verse and the start of the chorus but I think it sounds cool and makes the chorus more energetic :^)
+2 is really easy and sounds nice
amazing song
I like these rad chords?
What is the strumming pattern ? Having a hard time with it :O
I think that -5 with a capo on the first fret sounds really good, especially if you sing higher.

It sounds really good with a capo on the first fret (I even found that it sounded more like the original song)
