G                                G
Pretend you're happy when you're blue;
G                      Am
It isn't very hard to do
 Am                            D         Am
And you'll find happiness without an end
  D      C      G
Whenever you pretend.

G                        G
Remember anyone can dream,
G                        Am
And nothing's bad as it may seem;
Am                         D
The little things you haven't got
 Am  D             C      G
Could be a lot if you pretend.

                             Bm
You'll find a love you can share,
Am                      Em
One you can call all your own;
                             Bm
Just close your eyes, she'll be there --
 Am           D
You'll never be alone.

 G                      G
And if you sing this melody,
                               Am
You'll be pretending just like me.
                             D             Am
The world is mine, it can be yours, my friend,
    D           C        G
So why don't you pretend?

G                          G
And if you sing this melody,
                               Am
You'll be pretending just like me.
                              D            Am
The world is mine, it can be yours, my friend,
     D       C          G
So why don't you pretend?
