Born and raised in the South and currently based in Los Angeles, Jodi Shurbet began recording music as Scruffpuppie in 2017. Since launching her YouTube channel in 2015, Scruffpuppie’s lo-fi bedroom emo sound has struck a chord with listeners across the world. Known by followers for her inventive covers, but praised for her live recordings of original songs, Scruffpuppie is Gen-Z’s answer to grunge.
