Intro: A#, Eb

Verse 1
Bb
Woke up cold one tuesday,
Db Ab
i'm looking tired and feeling quite sick,
Bb Db F
i felt like there was something missing in my day to day life,
     Bb
so i quickly opened the wardrobe,
Db Ab
pulled out some jeans and a T-Shirt that seemed clean,
Bb
topped it off with a pair of old shoes,
          Db F
that were ripped around the seams,
              Eb
and i thought these shoes just don't suit me.

Chorus:
Bb F
Hey, I put some new shoes on,
    Eb
and suddenly everything is right,
        Bb F
I said, hey, I put some new shoes on
    Eb
and everybody's smiling, its so inviting,
    Bb F
Oh, short on money, but long on time,
Eb
slowly strolling in the sweet sunshine,
    Bb
and i'm running late,
           F
and i dont need an excuse,
           Eb
'cause i'm wearing my brand new shoes.

Verse 2
Bb
Woke up late one thursday,
Db Ab
i'm seeing stars as i'm rubbing my eyes,
      Bb
and i felt like there were two days missing,
     Db F
as i focused on the time,
      Bb
and i made my way to the kitchen,
Db Ab
but i had to stop from the shock of what i found,
Bb Db F
a room full of all my friends dancing round and round,
              Eb
and i thought hello new shoes, byebye blues.

Chorus:
Bb F
Hey, I put some new shoes on,
    Eb
and suddenly everything is right,
        Bb F
I said, hey, I put some new shoes on
    Eb
and everybody's smiling, its so inviting,
    Bb F
Oh, short on money, but long on time,
Eb
slowly strolling in the sweet sunshine,
    Bb
and i'm running late,
           F
and i dont need an excuse,
           Eb
'cause i'm wearing my brand new shoes.
