7 ukulele chords used in "Just A Friend To You" by Meghan Trainor: A, Am, C, Dm, E, F and G

I started playing ukulele 2 years ago and since I found this website it’s been so much easier
if anyone having trouble with e, e7 works as well!
you can replace “e” with c, actually, i think it still sounds decent
A GIRL PLAYED THIS IN OUR TALENT SHOW AND I HAD NO IDEA IT WAS A MEGHAN TRAINOR SONG OMG
(she did really well and played the uke wonderfully. good job sarah. 2nd place in my book)
For those who are curious…
I’m pretty sure the progression she plays is:
C – Am7 – Dm7 – G7/G7sus2/G7
And then the first 2 chords she strums at the start of the song (not sure what they are called) are the C-E-A strings, on the 5th fret and then same strings again on the 7th fret. Not sure how else to explain without knowing the names. :/ I also like using E7 for that pesky E.
You can actually replace “E” with “Em”. ^^ Sounds pretty good for me. 🙂
Who else cries when they hear this song because it reminds them of life and how your best friend and crush don’t deal the same way and you cry yourself to sleep because you know that they like a boy and their not into you like that but you just can’t get over how hard it is having your crush so close to you and yet so far away? No just me? Makes sense
If someone is having trouble with E, i suggest just not using the pointer finger (on the g string.) I just use the A and C string, its helped me a lot, especially with transitioning.
anyone knows the strumming pattern?
In the verses where it’s C Am F G, instead of G do G-G7-G AND IT SOUNDS SO PRETTY
….greetings….
For beginners, use C instead of E.
Love this song.
Whoops….I put my other comment on the wrong song, sorry about that.
D D U D U D U
I just started playing ukulele. With a five dollar ukulele from five and below, but this website makes me help understand this song and play
This song was soooooooo beautiful. The capo on the first fret sounded beautiful, and so did the song with no capo. Omg, I think this is my new fav song, lol.
if you replace F with Dm it sounds nice! :^
COMMENT IF YOU THINK HANS SHOULD BE SMACKED XD
It’s not you ain’t mister right, it’s you ain’t missed your right. But I guess it sounds the same.
You can also use E7 which I personally prefer
Instead of E i play Em Because it sounds nicer and is easier to play
