D A Bm G
Just a small town girl, living in a lonely world
D A Gbm G
She took the midnight train going anywhere

He took the midnight train going anywhere

D A Bm G
a singer in a smoky room, a smell of wine and cheap perfume

For a smile they can share the night, it goes on and on and on and on

Strangers waiting up and down the boulevard
 G D
Their shadows searching in the night
G D
Streetlight, people, living just to find emotion

Hiding, somewhere in the night

D A Bm G
Working hard to get my fill, everybody wants a thrill
       D A Gbm G
Paying anything to roll the dice, just one more time

D A Bm G
Some will win, some will lose, some were born to sing the blues

Oh, the movie never ends; it goes on and on and on and on

  12. Hi I’m new to ukulele and I was wondering what the things are in the first bit? I don’t get it, it’s before the lyrics and actual chords

    • Niamh- this is kinda late but the thing at the top is a riff. As you can see the letters on the side (g, c, e, a) represent the strings. The numbers represent the fret. So u pluck the note on the fret it says. Sorry if this confusing it’s hard to explain. Hope that helped :)
