              Ab
With an unkind man
                              Db
'Cause baby I would give you the world,
            Gb
In fact I already do

And how do you repay that?
Ebm
Talk to me like I'm just a regular tramp
    Ab
Trying to screw you over
    Db Gb
Do you even have a clue what I gave up just to be here
Ebm
To serve your ass with steak and beer

Ab
Baby that's love
Db
Baby that's real
Gb
And all I've ever wanted was for your damn arms
Ebm
To wrap themselves around me and say

Chorus:
Ab Db
Hey girl, you’re the prettiest thing my eyes have ever seen
Gb
Come and lay your bones down with me
Ebm
Come and lay your bones down with me

Gb
Come and lay your bones down with me
Ebm
Come and lay your bones down with me

Verse:
Ab Db
I’m not trying to play the victim
                            Gb
Don’t wanna go head to head
                               Ebm
But boy, I shouldn’t have to stand in the mirror
                        Ab
Convincing myself I'm fair
                       Db
Baby that’s your job to do
                                Gb
Baby you should think I’m beautiful

Why you wanna watch the set
            Ebm Ab
When I’m laying right next to you in our own room
                      Db
I feel like you don’t even know I’m there
             Gb
But I put a brush through my hair for you
        Ebm
Run my fingertips over your back real smooth

Cause Boy I need love

To put themselves around me and say

Ab Db
Hey girl, you’re the prettiest thing my eyes have ever seen

Come and lay your bones down with me
Ebm
Come and lay your bones down with me
Ab Db
Hey girl, you’re the prettiest thing my heart has ever known

Come and lay your bones down with me
