Verse 1:
    Db Gb Ab
Some roads are only seen at night
      Db Gb Ab
Ghost roads, nothin' but neon signs
    Db Gb Ab
But some nights the neon gas gets free
    Db Gb Ab
And turns into walking dead like me

Chorus:
        Gb Ab Db Gb
And I've been making promises I know I'll never keep
Gb Ab Db Gb
One of these days I'm gonna leave you in your sleep
Gb Ab
I'll have to go when the whistle blows
    Db Gb
The whistle knows my name
Gb Ab Db
Baby, I was born on a train

Verse 2: Db

  Db Gb Ab
I know that you were never young
      Db Gb Ab
And I know you probably won't get old
            Db Gb Ab
But, honey, nobody's gonna hurt you anymore
    Db Gb Ab
And nobody's gonna make you wanna die

Chorus:
        Gb Ab Db Gb
And I've been making promises I know I'll never keep
Gb Ab Db Gb
One of these days I'm gonna leave you in your sleep
Gb Ab
I'll have to go when the whistle blows
    Db Gb
The whistle knows my name
Gb Ab Db
Baby, I was born on a train

Bridge: Db

     Db Gb Ab
I'll go some cold and grey morning
        Db Gb Ab
And you won't remember anything
    Db Gb Ab
But some people don't believe in time
    Db Gb Ab
And some of us don't believe in life

Chorus:
        Gb Ab Db Gb
And I've been making promises I know I'll never keep
Gb Ab Db Gb
One of these days I'm gonna leave you in your sleep
Gb Ab
I'll have to go when the whistle blows
    Db Gb
The whistle knows my name
Gb Ab Db
Baby, I was born on a train
Gb Ab Db
Baby, I was born on a train

I requested this 😀

kaffs

-2 is a lot easier! just replace fmaj7 with an f. also a good picking pattern is c-e-g-a, do that once on am7 and c, twice on f, dm, and g! (for the verses and chorus)

Laura

Any idea how to pick the rough pattern of this? The 3 main chords are so similar that any picking pattern I come up with all sounds the same throughout the song 😬

Ezra

Strumming pattern?
