Verse 1:
              B B7
Time of our lives, it's easy to see
                     E Em
We were just getting by, we were complete
                B B7
It hasn't been long, that I've been away
              E Em
I don't know why, everything's changed

Chorus:

'Cause inside
B B7
We're still the kids on the Friday nights
                                   E
Silver streets and the neon signs
                              Em
Everything's changed outside
                        B
Sometimes I wonder why
                                B7
If you need you can call on me
                             E
I'll be the friend you need
                              Em
Everything's changed outside

But I feel the same inside

Verse 2:
                B
The kids are alright
                B7
That used to be me
                   E
Always losing our minds
             Em
Out on the street
                    B
a trip down memory lane

Houses all look the same
                                B7
There's different names on the gates

And all the people have changed
              E Em
Oh it's such a shame, nothing stays the same

Chorus:

'Cause inside
B B7
We're still the kids on the Friday nights
                                   E
Silver streets and the neon signs
                              Em
Everything's changed outside
                        B
Sometimes I wonder why
                                B7
If you need you can call on me
                             E
I'll be the friend you need
                              Em
Everything's changed outside

But I feel the same inside

Everything's changed outside

Sometimes I wonder why
                                B7
If you need you can call on me
                             E
