Verse 1:
       D
Once upon a time in Hollywood
      A
When Carol called my name
        D
I stood up, the room exploded, and I
  A E
Knew that’s it, I'll never be the same
D
That's when the doors swung open
A E
And the voice said: We're glad you came
               D
Now I've spent thousands on you, darling
       A D
Oh, the hotels and the jets and I'd pay it all again
              A E
To have your golden body back in my bed
D A E
But I don't miss the poison arrows aimed directly at my head

Pre-Chorus:
           Bm Gbm
Goodbye to all the bottles, all the models
D Gbm E
Back to the clouds in the skies in a whole new way

Chorus:
                             D
Don't want that California love
                 A E D
Don't want that California love
                 A E
Don't want that California love

Verse 2:
         D
Oh, once upon a time the Canyon store
     A
Was where my world began
          D A E
All that mystery and beauty gleaned from desert flowers and gifted children
D A E
But it got hard to grow up with your cool hand around my neck
          D A
Now in my hometown, sunbathing
       D A
My girlfriends and my baby
 E D
But every time I smell tequila
                      E
God, it goes up in my mind again

Pre-Chorus:
            Bm Gbm
Goodbye to all the bottles, all the models
D Gbm E
Back to the kids in the lines for the new Supreme

Chorus:
                             D
Don't want that California love
                 A E D
Don't want that California love
                 A E D
Don't want that California love
                 A E D
Don't want that California love
                 A E D
Don't want that California love
                 A E D
Don't want that California love

Outro:
A E D
-Hmm- It's just a dream
A E D
-Hmm- It's just a dream
A E D
-Hmm- Said it's just a dream
A E D A E
-Hmm- I wanna wake up, I wanna wake up
