Verse:
F Am Dm
I've come to my senses,
C F
That I've become senseless,
F Am Dm C F
I could give you lessons on how to ruin your friendships,
F Am Dm C F
Every last conviction, I smoked them all away,
F Am Dm C Dm
I drank my frustrations down the drain, out of the way,
Dm Am Dm
So I sit and wait and wonder,
       C Gm
"Does anyone else feel like me?"
            C Gm C Bb
Someone so tired of their routines and disappearing self-esteems,

Chorus:
Bb F C
I'll sing along,

Yeah with every emergency,
Bb F C
Just sing along,

I'm the king of catastrophies,
Bb F C
I'm so far gone,
                        Bb F C
That deep down inside I think it's fine by me,
                 F
I'm my own worst enemy

Verse:
F Am Dm C F
I could be an expert on co-dependency,
F Am Dm C F
I could write the best book on underage tragedy,
F Am Dm C F
I've been spending my time at the local liquor store,
F Am Dm C Dm
I've been sleeping nightly on my best friends kitchen floor,
Dm Am Dm
So I sit and wait and wonder,
      C Gm
"Does anyone else feel like me?"
       C Gm C Bb
I'm so over-dosed on apathy and burnt out on sympathy.

Chorus:
Bb F C
I'll sing along,

Yeah with every emergency,
Bb F C
Just sing along,

I'm the king of catastrophies,
Bb F C
I'm so far gone,
                        Bb F C
That deep down inside I think it's fine by me,
                 F
I'm my own worst enemy

Bridge:
Bb Am
Let the meaning slip away
Dm C
Lost my faith in another day,
Bb Am
Self deprication seems okay,
        Dm C
I never thought I'd make it anyway

Chorus:
Bb F C
I'll sing along,

Yeah with every emergency,
Bb F C
Just sing along,

I'm the king of catastrophies,
Bb F C
I'm so far gone,
                        Bb F C
That deep down inside I think it's fine by me,
                 F
I'm my own worst enemy

Biography

Less Than Jake is a ska-punk band formed in 1992 in Gainesville, USA. Their current line-up consists of Chris DeMakes (vocals, guitar), Roger Lima (vocals, bass), Matt Yonker (drums), Buddy Schaub (trombone) and Peter “JR” Wasilewski (saxophone).

The band’s name derives from a bird Vinnie had while growing up, which was treated better than the rest of the family. It’s also a reference to the phrase “everything is jake,” which is an old phrase meaning everything is cool.
