Taking down your neighbour won't take you any higher
F C F C
I burned my own damn finger poking someone else's fire

If you ain't got nothing nice to say don't say nothing at all

     Am G C G Am G
Just hoe your own row and raise your own babies

Smoke your own smoke and grow your own daisies
F C E7 Am G
Mend your own fences and own your own crazy
C G Am G
Mind your own biscuits and life will be gravy

Mind your own biscuits and life will be gravy

Interlude: F C F C G C

F C F C

Most of us have cheated the rest of us have tried

C G Am G
Smoke your own smoke and grow your own daisies
F C E7 Am G
Mend your own fences and own your own crazy
C G Am G
Mind your own biscuits and life will be gravy

Mind your own biscuits and life will be gravy

Pissing in my yard ain't gonna make yours any greener
