Verse 1:
 Cm Ab Bb G
Drag my hand behind you like a chain behind a truck.
  Cm Ab Bb G
Sparks over your carpet while I chase you through the darkness.
  Ab Bb Cm G
Somebody's supposed to fall in love, but nobody even calls.
  Ab Bb
 Somebody's supposed to...

Chorus:
Bb Cm Ab Bb Cm Ab
Tear this place apart until you find me hiding, silently I wait.
Bb Cm Ab Bb Cm Ab Bb
You'll be excited just to see me someday. Everything's ok.

Verse 2:
             Cm Ab
Summer and gold throw their colors at the dark,
     Bb G
a mother tells her son, "Darling look at the sparks."
           Ab Bb
But you hold my attention without even trying.
      Cm G
a beautiful reflection from firework eyes,
       Ab Bb
 but never means forever.
   Cm G Ab
Desperation and hanging in the backyard at night.
               Bb Cm
Somebody's supposed to fall in love.

Chorus:
Bb Cm Ab Bb Cm Ab
Tear this place apart until you find me hiding, silently I wait.
Bb Cm Ab Bb Cm Bb
You'll be excited just to see me someday. Everything's ok.

Bridge: Bb Cm G

         Ab Bb Cm G
Love, don't forget to bleed so slowly.
  Ab Bb Cm G
Haunted hearts we melt over the fabric of your floor.
      Ab Bb Bm-
I'm holdin' her just like she's gold, but
 Cm G Ab
I've been running from the sun. Oh no, no.
            Bb Cm G
And if I ever catch the ones who hurt you,
  Ab Bb Cm G
I'm- I'm hoping that God looks away this time.
  Ab Bb Cm
Why would I let you go?

Outro:
Bb Cm Ab Bb Cm Ab
Tear this place apart until you find me hiding, silently I wait.
Bb Cm Ab Bb Cm Ab
You'll be excited just to see me someday. Everything's ok.
 Bb Cm
