Verse 1:
C
  Opened two double doors
                                  Am
Typical, pretty sure I could grow up

Probably chemical
                                 F
I took up walking to turn it all off

Doesn't feel bearable
                                         C
Guess I thought when I left it would all stop

Hmmm, it would all stop

Chorus 1:
      Am F C
Did I fall out of line when I called you?
       Am F C
When I told you "I'm fine" you were lied to
          Am F C G
How could I think that all that I gave you was enough?
                    -nc-
'Cause every time I get too close I just go mess it up

Verse 2:
C
Funny that didn't work -didn't work-
                                 Am
I could be anywhere, I'm on your block

Cynical -cynical-, terrible -terrible-
                                F
Kicking myself with my gut in a knot

'Cause I heard that you're -heard that you're-, happier -happier-
                                           C
Hope that you're sleeping wеll knowing I'm not

I'm doing too much, hmm-hmm-hmm hmmmm-hmm

Chorus 2:
      Am F C
Did I fall -did I fall- out of line -out of line- when I called you? -ah-ah-ah-ahhh-ah-
       Am F C
When I told -when I told- you "I'm fine" -you "I'm fine"- you were lied to -I told you I'm lying-
          Am F C G
How could I think that all that I gave you was enough?
                    -nc-
'Cause every time I get too close I just go mess it up

Bridge:
Am F
I keep thinking maybe if you let me back in
C
We can make it better, breakin' every habit
Am F
Pull myself together, you could watch it happen
C
Let it happen, let it happen

Am F
I keep thinking maybe if you let me back in

I’m wondering if the lyrics aren’t “I’ll find the things they say just can’t be found” rather than “all finer things they say etc…”?

my fav childhood song

Matthew Daly

This tab leaves out the bridge. It uses an extra chord, which is either G#m in the original tab or Bm if you take heatherann85’s advice.

G#m Gbm
(Bm) (Am)
And there’s no time to waste

G#m Gbm B
(Bm) (Am) (D)
Well it all keeps spinning, spinning around and around and

(Chorus)

Grace

i like frends

Instead of 1402 you can do 4442 on the ukulele for those of you who find it hard to do the e chord (like me)

Also, -2 is a really nice key, and at the end where there are no chords, it sounds good if you play D G And D for the “please don’t go away” bit, and then D D G G A D for the “is this how it’s supposed to be” part 🙂 (these are the chords for -2, not the original key)
