Il Volo is either
a) a contemporary Italian vocal trio (biography below)
b) an Italian prog-rock supergroup that released two albums in the 1970s, "Il Volo" (1974) & "Essere o non essere?" (1975)
Il Volo (Italy, 2009). In May 2009, three fresh-faced teenagers, Piero Barone (23), Ignazio Boschetto (22), and Gianluca Ginoble (21), appeared on the popular Italian talent show “Ti Lascio Una Canzone” and dazzled television viewers with their flawless rendition of the Neapolitan standard “O Sole Mio.
