Chorus:
      A A Gbm E
Cause you are water twelve feet deep
    A A Gbm E
and I am boots made of con-crete
               A A
I'll wear cool clothes, you can show some skin,
        Gbm E
Flash a fake, so we will both get in
          A A
Now we're dancing, we're so drunk
          Gbm E
We are so cool, we are so punk

    D A A Gbm E
And yes, we can keep living like this.
   D A A Gbm E
As long as you're here I will live like this.

Since when did,

Verse 1:
                  Gbm D A
Since when did "I wanna hear your voice" not become a good excuse?
        Gbm D A
Calling you three in the morning, laugh at sleep that we'll both lose
      Gbm D A
Maybe college won't work out, and I can come stay at your house
        Gbm D A
I'm supposed to be at class now but my roommate just passed out

          Gbm D A
And I can not get in my room, get all my books and what I need
              Gbm D A
You're all I need but I am pretty sure your parents will never see
            Gbm D A
I'll let it be, 'cause it was never meant to be
            Gbm D A
I'll let it be.

Chorus:
      A A Gbm E
Cause you are water twelve feet deep
    A A Gbm E
and I am boots made of con-crete
               A A
I'll wear cool clothes, you can show some skin,
        Gbm E
Flash a fake, so we will both get in
          A A
Now we're dancing, we're so drunk
          Gbm E
We are so cool, we are so punk

    D A A Gbm E
And yes, we can keep living like this.
   D A A Gbm E
As long as you're here I will live like this.

Verse 2:

I get left out,
                  Gbm D A
I get left out of every plan they make, that is what I have to do
          Gbm D A
To be the only kid from high school who is still in love with you
      Gbm D A
Maybe college it won't work out, I can come sleep on your couch
        Gbm D A
I'm supposed to be at class now but my roommate just passed out

          Gbm D A
And I can not get in my room, get all my books and what I need
              Gbm D A
You're all I need but I am pretty sure your parents will never see
            Gbm D A
I'll let it be, 'cause it was never meant to be
            Gbm D A
I'll let it be.

Bridge:
      A A Gbm E
Cause you are water twelve feet deep
    A A Gbm E
and I am boots made of con-crete
               A A
I'll wear cool clothes, you can show some skin,
        Gbm E
Flash a fake, so we will both get in
          A A
Now we're dancing, we're so drunk
          Gbm E
We are so cool, we are so punk

    D A A Gbm E

Okay guys! So the first part makes no sense on this, so I’d thought I’d help out since I was confused, too. For the opening I would recommend playing this tablature twice:

A———0——0—————0——
E——0——0——0——0———-
C—1———————2—————
Also there doesn’t need to be any thing with the g-string, hopefully you know how to read tabletures 🙂 Another reminder is that if you need help with the timing of this, listen to the beginning on YouTube, and that is the pattern you would want to do!

Mira Black

Who said that every wish
Would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star
Somebody thought of that
And someone believed it
And look what it’s done so far
What’s so amazing
That keeps us star gazing
What so we think we might see

Michael

This is all wrong! You are missing like half of the song! PLUS… the intro makes no sense at all.

Playing this for my dad’s birthday today and am extremely excited

“Ooooohh and that I think it could be” I believe the correct lyric is “IT’S SOMETHING THAT I’M SUPPOSE TO BE”

Endormi3

On the last line of the first verse (on 0) it’s Dbm7 and Gbmaj (F#maj) instead of A and Gbm 🙂
