E Dbm
When somebody loved me
A B
everything was beautiful
Abm Dbm
every hour we spent together
A B
lives within my heart

E Dbm
And when she was sad
A B
I was there to dry her tears
Abm Dbm A
and when she was happy so was I
     B E
when she loved me

A B
Through the summer and the fall
    Abm Dbm
we had each other that was all
    Abm Dbm
just she and I together
     A B
like it was meant to be
E Dbm
and when she was lonely
A B
I was there to comfort her
      Abm Dbm B E
and I knew that she loved me

Dbm B
So the years went by
   Abm Dbm
I stayed the same
   Abm Dbm
but she began to drift away
B Dbm
I was left alone
Am Em
still I waited for the day

when she'd say
Am Em B
I will always love you

E Dbm
Lonely and forgotten
A B
never thought she'd look my way
Abm Dbm
and she smiled at me and held me
A B
just like she used to do

E Dbm
like she loved me
A B
when she loved me

E Dbm
When somebody loved me
A B
everything was beautiful
Abm Dbm
every hour we spent together
A B
lives within my heart

-4 with a capo on the 4th fret sounds lovely, and is definitely good for softer voices! and for strumming pattern i just do a single down strum

bubbawot

i hate how this song makes me cry and remember one of my exes, she was so wonderful and she took care of me the way i’ve always wanted someone to take care of me

she loved me regardless of what i did or who i was
this song somewhat reminds me of her and i :(((

+1 sounds really nice

p3achy

i was friends with a girl for 9 years, we liked almost all the same things and were best friends. she never really made her own friends but I was always there for her. two years ago we both made different friends and started to grow apart little by little. we’d still see each other and talk every day but we didn’t share many interests and i’d sometimes mock her for certain things she liked. a few months ago she hadn’t been to school for a few days so i texted her to see what happened and she had apparently started to be homeschooled. since then she started texting me less and less with much shorter replies. these few short replies turned into her not texting or talking to me at all and eventually she unfollowed and blocked me just about everywhere. it took me a bit to realize that i was one of the reasons she was homeschooled, i didn’t act like the friend that she knew for so long, i had changed into someone who didn’t care what she had to say. this song makes me think about her and i can never listen to it without sobbing and wishing that i could go back.

At the end I think it’s better if it was
