Intro: Gb E

Verse 1:
Gb B
So much harder to be honest
Gb B
  With yourself at twenty-something
Gb B
Wish I knew what I'm becoming
             Gb B
And felt the ground while I was on it

Pre-Chorus 1:
Db Ebm Db B Bbm
Hoping, waiting on a moment
    Db Ebm Db B
Not knowing if it's coming or it's going
          Db
Mmm-mm-mm mm

Chorus 1:
           B Ebm Db Gb
What if my best days are the days I've left behind?
                B Ebm Db Gb
And what if the rest stays the same for all my life?
    Db B Ebm
I'm running with my eyes closed, so it goes
    Db Gb
You live and then you die
    B Ebm Db
But the hardest pill to swallow is the meantime
        B Ebm Db
Are the best days just the ones that we survive?

Post-Chorus 1:
B Ebm Db Gb
Ooh ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh -ah, ah-
B Ebm Db
Ooh ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

Verse 2:
Gb B
If I had known to feel the firе -fire-
Gb B
I would've thrown my arms up higher -highеr-
Gb B
Would've held on a little tighter
                 Gb B
'Cause you don't know a thing you miss 'til it's behind you
          Db
Mmm-mm-mm mm-mmm

Chorus 2:
           B Ebm Db Gb
What if my best days are the days I've left behind?
                B Ebm Db Gb
And what if the rest stays the same for all my life?
    Db B Ebm
I'm running with my eyes closed, so it goes
    Db Gb
You live and then you die
    B Ebm Db
But the hardest pill to swallow is the meantime
        B Ebm Db
Are the best days just the ones that we survive?
