Verse 1:
Em G C
One day I said I would be rich and I said I'd have a family
Em G C
Would I really be content with my husband and his family? Oh
Em G C
What's worse than lookin' at my neighbours pretendin' that they're happy, mm-mm
Em G C
Is one day lookin' at myself and I'm sayin' that I'm sorry, mm

Chorus:
Em G C
Hear me out, hear me out now, I'll be right home
Em G C
Called you twice already now, please pick up the phone
Em G C
Hear me out, hear me out now, I'll be right home
Am C
I don't know, I don't know why, but I made it home

Verse 2:
Em G C
What if I look into their eyes and I tell them that it's over? Mm-mm
Em G C
Something I can't say to myself, but I'll say it in the mirror, oh no
Em G C
I've heard so many of these stories, I never thought they'd be me -Hm-
Em G C
Why can't we leave it? Should've left it as just another chapter

Bridge:
             Am Em
It stays the same, will always remain with my heart in doubt
          Am C
How do we face the colours that fade and find my way out?

Chorus:
Em G C
Hear me out, hear me out now, I'll be right home, yeah, yeah
Em G C
Called you twice already now, please pick up the phone, no, no
Em G C
Hear me out, hear me out now, I'll be right home
Am C
I don't know, I don't know why, but I call it home

Outro:
Em G C
Once was I lookin' at myself and sayin' that I'm sorry

Biography

Jorja Smith is an English singer from Walsall, UK. Smith impressed many and earned attention with her hip-hop and R&B-inspired debut single “Blue Lights” and has taken the rest of the year to deliver songs that fuse soul, blues, and even classical. She spent much of 2016 getting people very excited about her effortless, informed, and deeply soulful pop with a trio of eclectic singles. Her first EP Project 11 arrives so perfectly formed it almost feels like showing off. Many songs mark Smith out as her hero Amy Winehouse’s truest successor.
