Verse:
   E B
If one drink could make tonight
Dbm A
Slip my mind then I
E
should drink up
   B Dbm A
So i can forget that I haven't lived my life
E B Dbm A
You are an example of better things to come
   E B
So why wait on some other escape
    Dbm A
That leads me nowhere fast

Pre-Chorus:
A
  I've got to ask

Chorus:
                      E
You've got nothing to lose
                  B
Except for me and you
                    Dbm
And I love that attitude
                    A
When you know I can do
                      E B Dbm A
I'll do better than you

Verse:
   E B
If one drink could make tonight
Dbm A E
Slip your mind then you should drink up
   B Dbm A
So you can convince yourself that I’m cute
E B Dbm A
We are an example of why not to fall in love
   E B
It takes a turn and then it hurts
Dbm A
More than you could dream of

Chorus:
                           E
Well you've got nothing to lose
                  B
Except for me and you
                    Dbm
And I love that attitude
                    A
When you know I can do
                    E
I'll do better than you
                      B
You've got nothing to prove
                   Dbm
Oh no wait yes you do
               A
You wear it so well

You can't stay, I want you gone
    Dbm A B
For pulling the carpet I was standing on
E B
You can't stay, I want you gone
    Dbm A B
For pulling the carpet I was standing on

You can't stay, I want you gone
    Dbm A B
For pulling the carpet I was standing on

And I love that attitude
                    A
When you know I can do

I'll do better than you

Biography

You Me At Six are a 5-piece pop punk band from Weybridge, Surrey who formed in 2005. The five piece played locally until early 2007 when spring support slots with Saosin at Leeds Cockpit (03.05.07) and later Paramore at the Colchester Arts Centre (10.06.07) saw them attract media attention from the likes of Kerrang, Musicscoop and NME. In July 2007 they supported Tonight Is Goodbye on their summer tour along with Death Can Dance and then later that month were featured in Kerrang! magazine in their new music section.
