Verse 1:
G Bm7 Cmaj7
We both lost our innocence
    G Bm7 Cmaj7
To 'Heaven or Las Vegas'
G Bm7 Cmaj7
Bedroom rearranged again
    G Bm7 Cmaj7
And snow out on the pavement

Pre-Chorus:
G Bm7 Cmaj7
Colors from outside
G Bm7 Cmaj7
Bathed in orange and white
G Bm7 Cmaj7 G Bm7 Cmaj7
Let's invite your friends for a backseat drive

Chorus:
G Em7
It's not a crime if you take what's given
Am7 D
It's just a crime if you're payin' for it
G Em7
What's the fun if you know what's comin'?
Am7 D
I don't want to escape it

Interlude: G Bm7 | Cmaj7 | G Bm7 | Cmaj7 |

Verse 2:
G C
Standing outside of your house

It's pretty dark out
     G
Good thing there's lights
C
  It's pretty cold though
  G C
I just need you right here
                   G C
To warm me up this time

Pre-Chorus:
G Bm7 Cmaj7
Words turn to a cough
    G Bm7 Cmaj7
You say I'll never get you off
G Bm7 Cmaj7
Now when you stand in a crowd
                       G
Is your mind in the gutter?
     Bm7 Cmaj7
Your head on the run
                     -Your head on the run-

Interlude: G Bm7 | Em7 | G Bm7 | Em7 |

It's just a crime if you're payin' for it

Cmaj7 G Cmaj7 G
The plant inside that never seemed to die

You cut it down before the leaves were brown
Cmaj7 G Cmaj7 G
The gate was closed, we know that we're too old

The pool is cold, the pool is cold

Chorus 2:
G Em7

It's just a crime if you're payin' for it
G Em7
What's the fun if you know what's comin'?
Am7 D
I don't want to escape this feeling
G Em7
And when we tear down the walls completely
Am7 D
Are we left with the same old memories?
G Em7
There's a song that I still hear faintly
Am7 D
It's just a recipe for my love

It's just a recipe for my love
