F
I would sleep better on your floor
             Bb
than I would ever in my bed
            Dm
And if your carpet makes my face itch
              C
It'd still be heaven in my head
             F
I would play more than just four chords
          Bb
If it's a song that you might like
      Dm
But I am not very good
           C
So I would practice every night

               F Bb
And she said, "Sometimes things just don't work out -the way you want them to-
F Bb
Sometimes things just don't work out -the way they should flow through-
F Bb
Sometimes things just don't work out -the way you want them to-
F Bb C
Sometimes things just don't work out -it's better me than it is you-."

 Bb G Dm
"Break your neck and I will love you like a bird that cannot fly.
Dm C
You will be fine,"
Bb G Dm
And she says, "Break your neck and I will love you every night.
Dm C
You will be mine."

             F
I would stop doing all those things
           Bb
the doctor tells me not to do
            Dm
But I don't think he understands
         C
I do all of these things for you
                    F
And you've got gold plastic on your shelf
                  Bb
that they gave to everybody else
            Dm
And you can say it says your name
            C
but I don't think that that would help

    A Bb F
And today we can do something that we've never done before
     Am Bb F
Yeah today we can do something more
    A Bb F
And today we can do something that we've never done before
     C
Done before
    A Bb F
And today we can do something that we've never done before

Yeah today we can do something more
    A Bb F
And today we can do something that we've never done before
