Verse 1:
G C D
Well I never thought I'd make it here in Hollywood,
G C D
I never thought I'd ever wanna stay.
G C D
What I seem to touch these days has turned to gold.
C D G
What I seem to want, well you know I'll find away.

Chorus:
     C D G
For me it's the only life I'll ever know,
   C D G
and love is only one fine star away.
C D G
Even though the living is sometimes laced with lies,
        C D G
it's alright, the feeling remains even after the glitter fades.

Verse 2:
G C D
The loneliness of a one night stand is hard to take.
G C D
We all chase something and maybe this is a dream.
G C D
The timeless face of a rock and roll woman, while her heart breaks.
C D G
Oh you know, the dream keeps coming even when you forget to feel.

Chorus:
     C D G
For me it's the only life I'll ever know,
   C D G
and love is only one fine star away.
C D G
Even though the living is sometimes laced with lies,
        C D G
it's alright, the feeling remains even after the glitter fades.

Instrumental:
   G C D -x3-
   C D G

Chorus:
     C D G
For me it's the only life I'll ever know,
   C D G
and love is only one fine star away.
C D G
Even though the living is sometimes laced with lies,
        C D G
it's alright, the feeling remains even after the glitter fades.

Outro:
        C D G
Oh you know the feeling remains, even after the glitter fades.
        C D G
Oh you know, the feeling remains even after the glitter fades.
