Verse 1:
Em
 You linger in doorways,
Cmaj7 G D
     Uncomfortably,
Em
It seems to me that always,
Cmaj7 G D
  You're about to leave.

Verse 2:
Em Em Em Em Cmaj7 Cmaj7 G D Em
Roll corner bed---sheets off my bed,
Em Em Em Em Cmaj7 Cmaj7 G D Em
   Press eyeballs up against eye---lids,
    Em Em Em Cmaj7 Cmaj7
The problem with being xxxxed like you hate it,
        G D Em
Is it's hard not to be convinced,
   Em Em Em Cmaj7 Cmaj7
a diary, a eulogy of a world famous satire,
   G D Em
Oh please, just let me live.

Verse 3:
Em Em Em Cmaj7 Cmaj7 G D Em
Your fingers dig into my lap,
Em Em Em Cmaj7 Cmaj7 G D Em
Baptise your anger, then fall back to back.

Verse 4:
Em Em Em Em C C
If I could rewind the time,
    G D
I'd stay there in England,
Em Em Em Em
We'd have a glass of wine,
         C C G D
And watch fatal car crash compilations,
Em Em Em Em C C G D Em
All I can see is wasted opportunity,
Em Em Em C C G D Em
All I can be is a diagram for desperation.

Verse 5:
Em Em Em Em Cmaj7 Cmaj7
       Want to enjoy sad music,
         G D Em
But it's all with the same context
Em Em Em Cmaj7 Cmaj7
Words they weave and how they choose to use it,
        G D Em
Someone else wronged the subject,
Em Em Em Cmaj7 Cmaj7 G D Em
Ooh, I wish I'd be the one who's hurt indignantly,
Em Em Em Cmaj7 Cmaj7 G D
But I can see the only one who's hurt someone is me.
