Verse 1
             Em7 D Csus4
am I loud and clear, or am I breaking up?
                 Em7 G C
am I still your charm, or am I just bad luck?
 Em7 G C D
Are we getting closer, or are we just getting more lost?
              Em7 D Csus4
I'll show you mine; you show me yours first
             Em7 G C
Let's compare scars, I'll tell you who's....is worse
   Em7 G C D
Let's unwrite these pages and replace them with our own....words

Chorus
  Em7 Csus4 G A
We live on front porches and swing life away,
 Em7 Csus4 G A
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
  Em7 Csus4 G A
If love is a labor I'll slave till the end,
  Em7 C A D
I won't cross these streets until you hold my hand

Verse 2
D Em7 D Csus4
I've been here so long, I think that it's time to move
                Em7 G C
The winter's so cold, summer's over too....soon
Em7 G C D
Let's pack our bags and settle down where palm trees grow
                Em7 D Csus4
I've got some friends, some that I hardly know
                      Em7 G C
But we've had some times, I wouldn't trade for the world
               Em7 D C D
We chase these days down with talks of the places that we will....go
