Intro -x2-: E Gb B B Abm

Verse 1:
      E Gb
I was ten years old when I realized
B Abm
Some goodbyes are forever
E Gb B Abm
So what's that mean for you and I? I thought we'd always be together

Pre-Chorus:
E Gb Eb
How can the person who taught me to breathe
                Abm Gb E
Take their last breath right in front of me?
E
I know too much now

Chorus:
E Gb B B Abm
I wish I could still see the world through those eyes
E Gb B B Abm
Could still see the colors, but they're not as clear or as bright
        E -nc- Gb -nc-
Oh, the older we get, the colors they faint
      B B Abm
Yeah, hair turns to grey but the blue's here to stay
   E Gb B
So I wish, I wish

Verse 2:
  E Gb
I remember seeing my dad cry
B Abm
For the first time, we were downstairs
E Gb
Talkin' 'bout how his dad died
    B Abm
And how he wished he could've been there

Pre-Chorus:
        E Gb Eb
He said "How could the person who taught me to breathe
                Abm Gb E
Take their last breath not in front of me?"
E
I know too much now

Chorus:
E Gb B B Abm
I wish I could still see the world through those eyes
E Gb B B Abm
Could still see the colors, but they're not as clear or as bright
        E -nc- Gb -nc-
Oh, the older we get, the colors they change
      B B Abm
Yeah, hair turns to grey but the blue stays the same
   E Gb B
Oh I wish, I wish

Bridge:
E Gb
  Stay a little longer
B Abm B E
I'm not ready for you to go
E Gb
It hasn't even happened
Abm Gb E
But I have been mourning since ten years old
E Em
Stay a little longer

Chorus:
E Gb B B Abm
I wish I could still see the world through those eyes
E Gb B B Abm
Could still see the colors, but they're not as clear or as bright
        E Gb
Oh, the older we get, the colors they change
      B B Abm
Yeah, hair turns to grey but the blue's here to stay
   E Gb B
So I wish, I wish
