Intro: Em B7 Em B7 Em B7

Verse 1:
          Em
Count the lights on empty souls
    Am
Quietly behind the door
     C B7 Em B7
Of bleeding us just for fun

Men of power telling lies

    Em Am B7

Set fire to us all
    Em Am B7
And Oh sweet providence

Come save us from ourselves

From hell with consequence

What's going on out side
         Em

We've turned them people into slaves

Biography

Like any great band, the sound is the clear result of collaboration and compromise. Diverse influences converge into a singular consistent vision. Each component is integral, and each serve the greater whole. The effect is serious but never hopeless, thoughtful but still kinetic, with a bit of anti-authoritarianism inherent to the working class. Really, it’s a bit surprising that music this warm and optimistic was born of a near collapse amongst its creators.
