Spoken:
I, your name, do solemnly swear, not to off myself, think about offing myself,

or continue thinking about offing myself without reaching out for help after listening to this song

Verse:
                            G
Sometimes I see them on the sidewalk, biking on the wet chalk
                   Em
Spelling out their names and I feel insane
                         C
Cause I know it's just a game, that I'm playing with my brain
                      D
I don't see her but I see her and I know it isn't real
                 G
But I fake it anyway, pull a smile and wave
              Em
Nod and look away, wait for it to fade
                       C
But it happens all the time and people say it's fine
                         D
My roommate says they're killing us but we're killing ourselves and I'm surrounded by

Chorus:
G
Dead girls on the road
Em
Dead girls on my phone
C
Dead girls
              D
Where do they go
                    G
All of the xxxxin', dead girls all around
Em
Dead girls in my town
C
Dead girls
        D
I don't know
C D
Dead girls, where do they go

Verse:
                           G
And it’d be wrong to say I miss them I didn’t really know him
              Em
I just have a couple friends who say they knew him well
                         C
He seemed like something special, really don’t they all
                      D
I guess before you’re gone it can be kind of hard to tell
                    G Em
I broke the xxxxing news, it wasn’t mine to break
                    C D
She cried and I was empty, it wasn’t mine to say

Chorus:
G
There’s dead kids on the road
Em
Dead kids in my phone
C
Dead kids
              D
Where do they go
              G
I wanna be a, dead kid with my friends
Em
Dead kids home again
C
Dead kids
        D
I don’t know

Verse:
                     G Em
You like them better dead, better dead
     C D
Just say you want it like that
                   G Em
You like me better dead, better dead
C D G
Gun against your head, you like them dead

Bridge:
       C D G
And if all you ever see are dead girls
C D Em
If all you hear is terrible news
C D G
Maybe it’s not all about the dead girls
C D G Em C D G
Maybe it’s more about you, the living need attention too

Chorus:
G
Dead kids all the time
Em
Dead kids in our prime
C
Dead kids
              D
Where do they go?
             G
I wanna be a dead girl like the rest
Em
Dead girls are the best
C D
That’s why we’re on every show
Outro:
                     G Em
You like them better dead, better dead
     C D
Just say you want it like that
                   G Em
You like me better dead, better dead
C D G
Gun against your head, you like them dead
