And tonight you belong to me

Bridge:

Way down by the stream

Once more just to dream in the moonlight,

But tonight you belong to me

Bridge:
    Cm
Way down, way down along the stream
    Cm
How very, very sweet it will seem
     G E7 A7 D7
Once more just to dream in the silvery moonlight

Verse 3:
            G G7 C Cm
My honey, I know -I know- with the dawn that you will be gone
       G D7 G
But tonight you belong to me
        D7 G
Just to little old me

Biography

The sister duo Patience and Prudence reached the Top Ten in 1956 with a fluke hit, the ghostly “Tonight You Belong to Me.” The daughters of a professional musician — Mark McIntyre, who accompanied Frank Sinatra on piano during the mid-’40s — Patience and Prudence McIntyre reportedly learned the song while at summer camp in 1955 (when they were nine and 12, respectively). Their father recognized it as a Billy Rose hit from several decades earlier
