Verse 1:
      B Abm
I sur-vived a dreadful accident
        E Abm Gb
In the car crash of the cen-tury
             B Abm
My shattered hopes collapsed on cold cement
                       E
But in the back of the ambulance
           B Gb
I'd never felt so content

Chorus:
  Dbm
a high-speed collision gave
  B Gb
a new sense of sight to me
Dbm Abm Gb
And now my vision can render the scene
Dbm B Gb
a blurry image of wreckage and roadside debris
E Gb
 Happiness returned to me
                          B
Through a grave emergency

Interlude:
B Gb Dbm E
Da da da, da da daaaa
B Gb Dbm E
Da da da, da da daaaa

Instrumental -x2-: B / | Gb / | Dbm / | E /

Verse 2:
               B Abm
I tossed and turned, in sterile apathy
            E Abm Gb
Until the violets arrived for me
              B Abm
The bouquet burst and blossoms filled the room
                   E
And the police got smaller as they grew taller
    Abm Gb
And taught me to bloom

Chorus:
  Dbm
a high-speed collision gave
  B Gb
a new sense of sight to me
Dbm Abm Gb
And now my vision can render the scene
Dbm B Gb
a blurry image of wreckage and roadside debris
E Gb
 Happiness returned to me

Through a grave emergency

A
 The curtains decayed
E G
 The daylight poured in

I was never afraid of the darkness again
                        E
My burns were third degree
                   B
But I'd been set free
                                   Gbsus4 Gb
'Cause grace had finally found its way to me
