Alternative, maybe easier, version:
  • Transpose the chords 4 half steps down [ -4 ]
  • Put a capo on fret 4 to stay in the same key

Some versions are tuned four half steps down, you can use the transposer to do that.

Verse:
E
It started with your hips,
B
so I moved up to your lips.
          A
To take a chance, ask for a dance.
                  B
Cause you're the, cutest thing on this side of the world.
E
We call our homes,
B
yet I feel so all alone.
            A
Half of the time, we gotta live with what we got,
                       B
and I got nothing, So agree to take my hand,
                                    E
so we can conjour up with something rad.

Chorus:
    A E
And you, could, move on with your whole life,
              B
just like you do.
              A
Just like you shoo be do do do.
                                E
And you could make everything alright,
                B
and I want you too.
        A B
Because ever since the first dance all I thought about,
               E
was loving on you.

-exact same chord pattern till the end-

So I moved to the dance floor,
with instincts and nothing more.
I had ants in my pants,
I did the boogie dance,
and there was nothing to do but laugh.
So I made another leap,
hoping to sweep you off your feet,
I said,
"Baby maybe we could bust this joint and see if my place is open to chill."

If you, could, move on with your life, just like you do.
Just like you shoo be do do do.
And you could make everything alright, and I want you too.
Because ever since the first dance all I thought about,
was loving on you.

I think it sounds better if when switching between the Em7 and Edim7 you only move the finger on the C string.

Love this song! It sounds great

Blue Ukulele

God I love the Beatles! They were a truly great band. No one can replace music like that, no matter how good they are…
(Yes, my music choices are firmly stuck in the 60s/70s and I am proud of that)

change the Edim7 to an Em6, and the C in the chorus to a Cmaj7.
