Intro:
G D
  -So close-

Verse 1:
       G D
Do you know what you're doin'? 'Cause it's hurtin' me
          A Gbm
When it's never just dinner now, it's never just drink
       G D
It's a fatal attraction and I'm startin' to bleed
       A Gbm
It's a lie that I came by, honestly

Pre-Chorus:
    G Bm
You swear it's platonic with your hands on my face
    A Gbm
The promise of progress is goin' down the drain
G Bm
Fallin' like dominos headed back to my place
A
I know you know the way

Chorus:
             G D A
I'll be your almost -Almost-, so close -So close-, maybe -Maybe-
Gbm7 G D A
You're not mine but you're almost -Almost-, so close -So close-, baby -Baby-
    Gbm7 G D
I'm livin' for the tension, it's so hot then cold
                           Em Gbm7
It's not a question, I'd go down that road
                    G D A Gbm7
Are we stuck in the almost -Almost-, so close -So close-, maybe -Maybe-?

Verse 2:
              G D
You're like a comfort in chaos, the edge of my seat
       A Gbm7
On the edge of the bed, you're kissin' me

Pre-Chorus:
     G Bm
You swear it's platonic with your hands on my waist
      A Gbm7
Don't care what we call it 'cause I'm not thinkin' straight
  G Bm
Tonight or forever, I'll take you any which way
A
Ignore my conscience, make it hot and dishonest

Chorus:
         G D A
With the almost -Almost-, so close -So close-, maybe -Maybe-
Gbm7 G D A
You're not mine but you're almost -Almost-, so close -So close-, baby -Baby-
    Gbm7 G D
I'm livin' for the tension, it's so hot then cold
                           Em Gbm7
It's not a question, I'd go down that road
                    G D A Gbm7
Are we stuck in the almost -Almost-, so close -So close-, maybe -Maybe-?

Post-Chorus:
       Gmaj7 D A Gbm7
In the almost, so close, maybe

Chorus:
      Gmaj7 D
Maybe one night when you walk me home
     A Gbm7
Your hand in mine warms up the cold
           Gmaj7 D
And you'll look at me and finally know
            A Gbm7
That you're ready for, what you're ready for
    Gmaj7 D
You apologize for wastin' time -Almost, so close-
        A Gbm7
And the promises that you let die -Maybe-
      Gmaj7 D A Gbm7
For a second it feels like it might be real life -Almost, so close-

-Maybe-

Outro:
                    Gmaj7 D A6
But I'll settle for almost, so close, maybe
Gbm7 Gmaj7 D A6
You're not mine but you're almost, so close, baby
