Intro: B

Verse 1:
B
I fell by the wayside, like everyone else
Abm
I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, but I was just kidding myself
E
Our every moment, I start to replace
Gbsus4 Gb
‘cause now that they’re gone all I hear are the words that I needed to say

Pre-Chorus:
B
When you hurt under the surface
Abm E
Like troubled water running cold
                            Gbsus4 Gb
Well time can heal but this won't

Chorus 1:
B
So
            Gb
Before you go
               Abm
Was there something I coulda said to make your heart beat better?
    E Gb
If only I'd have known you had a storm to weather
B
So
           Gb
Before you go
              Abm
Was there something I coulda said to make it all stop hurting?
    E
It kills me how your mind can make you feel so worthless
Gb
So
             B
Before you go

Verse 2:
B
Was never the right time, whenever you called
Abm
Went little by little by little, until there was nothing at all
E
Our every moment, I start to replay
Gbsus4 Gb
When all I can think about is seeing that look on your face

Pre-Chorus:
B
When you hurt under the surface
Abm E
Like troubled water running cold
                            Gbsus4 Gb
Well time can heal but this wont

B
So
            Gb
Before you go

If only I'd have known you had a storm to weather
B
So
           Gb
Before you go
              Abm
Was there something I coulda said to make it all stop hurting?
    E
It kills me how your mind can make you feel so worthless
Gb
So
            Abm
Before you go

Abm E B
Would we be better off by now?
       Gb Abm
If I'd let my walls come down?
        E Gb
Maybe I guess we’ll never know
Gb B
You know, you know, you know

Chorus 3:
            Gb
Before you go
              Abm
Was there something I coulda said to make your heart beat better?

Olivia

is there another chord to play instead of Ab?

Mollie

There are a few alternative ways of playing the chord, you can google it and you might find something easier for you to play. If you could also find another way of placing different fingers in the same places (unlikely, but possible), that is easier for you, then you could try that.

Olivia

Thank you!

beatrice

I know about another way to do it, it’s basically
A| – – 3 –
E| – – – 4
C| – – 3 –
G| 1 – – –
The numbers indicate the frets.
I think this is a harder way to do it, the easiest is the one the site tells you to do.
Oh and sorry for my ugly tablature.

Olivia

Thank you!

Ksisg

Ab is actually correct, but just move it one fret higher

Dumb_pig10
