Eb Cm
…I fell by the wayside like everyone else …
                                                                 Ab
I hate you, I hate you, I hate you but I was just kidding myself …
                                    Eb
Our every moment I start to replace …
                                   Bb
‘Cause now that they’re gone all I hear are the words that I needed to say

Eb Cm
…When you hurt under the surface …
                                Ab
Like troubled water running cold …
                             Eb Bb
Well, time can heal but this won’t …

Eb Bb Cm
So, before you go, was there something

I could have said to make your heart beat better
   Ab
If only I’d have known you had a storm to weather

Eb Bb Cm
So, before you go, was there something

I could have said to make it all stop hurting
   Ab Bb
It kills me how your mind can make you feel so worthless, oh
-nc- Eb
Before you go

Eb Cm
… Was never the right time whenever you called …
                                                              Ab
Went little by little by little until there was nothing at all …
                                   Eb
Our every moment I start to replay …
                          Bb
But all I can think about …

Is seeing that look on your face

Eb Cm
…When you hurt under the surface …
                            Ab
Like troubled water running cold
                             Eb Bb
Well, time can heal but this won’t …

Eb Bb Cm
So, before you go, was there something

I could have said to make your heart beat better
   Ab
If only I’d have known you had a storm to weather

Eb Bb Cm
So, before you go, was there something

I could have said to make it all stop hurting
   Ab Bb
It kills me how your mind can make you feel so worthless, oh

Before you…

Cm Ab Eb
Go…would we be better off by now
            Bb Cm
If I’d have let my walls come down
        Ab Bb
Maybe I guess we’ll never know
              Eb
You know, you know

Eb Bb Cm
… Before you go, was there something

I could have said to make your heart beat better
   Ab Bb
If only I’d have known you had a storm to weather

Eb Bb Cm
So, before you go,was there something

I could have said to make it all stop hurting
   Ab Bb
It kills me how your mind can make you feel so worthless, oh
-nc- Eb
Before you go

Jenny

what strum pattern would you recommend?

Cassandra

At the lat chorus I just strum one for each note and it sounds so cool!

A very gay thing

the last time I sing the chorus at the end of the song I usually strum lightly to make it sound quieter if that makes since
