Verse 1:
Em G
Some things don't sit right
C Em
This close to midnight
C G D
You're someone else in this light -Oh, oh oh-
Em G
Stand in the kitchen
C Em
Attempting to fix this
C G D
So I try to listen to you, you, you
D
But

Chorus:
G Am
You're gonna say something you don't mean
    Em C
So just before you take it too far, I'll hold my ears say "la da da di da"
G Am
Your empty words made for hurting me
     Em C
So just before you take it too far, I'll hold my ears say "la da da di da"
 G Am
La da da di da, la da da di da, la da da di da, la da da di da
     Em
La da da di da, la da da di da
 C
Hold my ears say "la da da di"

Verse 2:
 Em G
It's just like you
 C Em
To take me down with you
  C G D
Feed off each other's issues -Oh, oh, oh-
 Em G
We both know there's no use
  C Em
Talkin' 'bout what I owe you
C
I want back the old you
  D
You, you, you
D
But

Chorus:

Bridge:
Am Em
Busy doing damage
              G D
Instead of repairing you and I
Am Em C
Then you go and take advantage of me and I can't stand it
      D
Every time

Chorus:
G Am
You're gonna say something you don't mean
    Em C
So just before you take it too far, I'll hold my ears say "la da da di da"
G Am
Your empty words made for hurting me
    Em C
So just before you take it too far, I'll hold my ears say "la da da di da"
G Am
La da da di da, la da da di da, la da da di da, la da da di da
Em
La da da di da, la da da di da
C
Hold my ears say "la da da di"
G Am
La da da di da, la da da di da, la da da di da, la da da di da
Em
La da da di da, la da da di da
C
Hold my ears say "la da da di da"
