MONSTA X (몬스타엑스) is a South Korean hip-hop group under Starship Entertainment, formed in 2015. Currently consisting of Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, JOOHONEY and I.M. Originally a seven-member group, Wonho left in October 2019.

Before their debut, the boys participed in the survival show NO.MERCY. The group name has the double meaning of monsters conquering the k-pop scene and my star (MON means ‘my’ in French). X is an unknown existence.
